More Info for the June 12th Kick-off

Be at the State House at noon on Saturday, June 12th for an amazing celebration. There will be information and activities for kids grades 3 - 6 beginning at noon. Kate Klise, author of Regarding the Fountain will speak at 1:00 and Joe's Backyard Band will perform at 1:45.

The first 250 families will receive a free copy of Regarding the Fountain. Ms Klise's other books will be for sale including Dying to Meet You, one of the 2011 Rhode Island Children's Book Award Nominees.

There will be food for purchase.

There's lots of free parking behind the state office buildings.

This web page will tell you everything you need to know about Youth Reading Across Rhode Island, a new One Book, One State program for students in Grades 4 - 6.

Our first book is Regarding the Fountain by Kate Klise. You can meet the author and have fun at our kick-off on Saturday, June 12 at noon at the State House. There will be activities, a talk by the author, a book signing,  free books, Joe's Backyard Band, and food to purchase so you can have a picnic on the yard.
